    When I came back from Thailand, Bob approached me with the idea of Belastingvriendin.
    As two cowboys we started Belastingvriendin and discovered that it's very complex and challenging.
    It's hard work, 24 hours a day, to make the product a success, but dedicated to make it a success.
    Among others, I am responsible for the technical implementation.

    Since then I worked for several companies as a freelancer like Unwired Concepts and ANWB.
    In the meantime, I also worked as an employee at LogicaCMG.
    I am a Java expert that fulfills the following roles: developer, architect, team lead, trainer.
    I love coaching other java experts and to bring a software project to a success as a team.

    I worked in Thailand for about two years as a Dive Instructor and Software engineer.
    I started a Thai company called Seahorse Diving together with another dive instructor.
    I worked as a freelance dive instructor and dive guide.
    The second year I was mainly a Tourleader on a Liveaboard in the Similan island. I was responsible for all Dive Activities on the boat and made sure the clients had the best time of their live.
    I enjoyed managing the balance between pleasure and safety.

    At the same time I was doing freelance software development for the ANWB and was developing websites for local dive stores.

    I was responsible for the daily operation of all Diving operations, consisting of sales, dive courses, dive and snorkeling trips, etc...

    At the same time I continued building my desktop application based on the Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF)

    Diving at Kandooma is famous for his beauty, big live and strong currents. Besides that it's beautiful island. In such an environment you must be able to manage the correct balance between pleasure and responsibility.
    While working there I started building a small Desktop application based on the Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF)

    I became part of the Java competence center in and was mainly busy with mobile application development.
    Examples: SMS platform, PDA applications. NoordNed application for ticket verification in the train and bus. General barcode Ticketing platform (used by many amusements parks), etc...
    I started the the Ticketing platform as part of the "Working Tomorrow" project, and gave training in Java to new team members.

    We build mobile applications like mobile games, sms voting and a sms routing platform for processing the sms traffic.

    Information technology is a combination of Electrical, Mathematics and Computer science.

    My thesis took about one year which I fulfilled at a well known University in Valladolid, Spain.
    Thesis title: Identification and robust control of laboratory-located process.
    The thesis consisted of the design of a control algorithm that was implemented with C++, connected to the process.
    I stayed in Spain to teach at the University and did some research for the Renault factory in the laboratory of the University.

    I started my University while I was still performing the last part of the College of Advanced Technology (HTS).
    Because I performed the full HTS, I could do the University in just 3 years.
    Because of my interest in Control technology I completed 5 extra subjects with success, which weren't needed for graduation. One of those subjects was performed at the University of Delft.
