Experienced Web Developer at Fluxility Design
Rotterdam Area, Netherlands
I am a Dutch webdeveloper working for Fluxility Design. I am passionate about standard and the semantic web, and take great pride in writing lean and meaningful code. Next to that I also has a weblog filled with ideas about CSS, javascript and other web-related issues.
I knows my way around HTML/XHTML, XML, CSS, the DOM, PHP and graphic design programs like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape (SVG).
I developed a CSS Framework: SenCSs (http://sencss.kilianvalkhof.com) which has been downloaded over 5000 times and has helped me cut down about 50% of my development time without resorting to unsemantic class names.
excellent XHTML and CSS coding skills, good graphic design skills, good PHP and Javascript/AJAX/DOM coding skills. Writes semantic code based on web standards and the dutch quality model for websites.

Wakoopa is for software what last.fm is for music. As a front-end developer and interaction designer I’m responsible for the look of the website and the implementation of the cool features our back-end developers code.
I started working for Wakoopa in September 2008, and one of the most interesting tasks is data-visualisation. Wakoopa has a lot of data, and wants to offer that data to users in a meaningful and useful way. How to accomplish that is a fun challenge.

Fluxility is the company I started in 2005 together with Wouter Klein Heerenbrink. In three years we have made over a hundred websites and web applications for a very diverse customer base.
While originally focussing on making websites and webapps for customers, we are now expanding on working on our own projects. The website itself is featured in a number of CSS galleries and in the web design inspiration book.

At Properazzi I was responsible for designing the new website look and feel. I designed a toned-down website layout with a lot of pleasing detail and solid information architecture. There are a lot of hidden considerations behind this website, since it needs to work in more than one language and for SEO the placement and naming of links was vital as well.
A lot of substantial changes have been made without my consult between my design and the design currently on the website, though the main design idea still stands.
As a result of a large-scale rebranding effort I was not involved in, Properazzi is currently known as “Enormo”.

Headline interactive is a website I did the entire front- and backend development (but not the interaction design) for. It makes extensive use of CSS and jQuery to transform a standard html layout into an interactive, horizontally scrolling lightbox-upon-lightbox website.
The blog is fully Wordpress powered and the person changer on the homepage uses data from the Wordpress database. A lot of cool little bits of code went into building this site.
During my time at Headline Interactive I also developed a Wordpress blog for ING and did front-end development for Festival-classique.nl
