The TranScreen Film Festival is a filmfestival with both a cultural and an informative focus on transgenders and their friends, family and allies.
The festival is the successor of the NTGF (Nederlands Transgender Film Festival) Amsterdam and will take place in 2011.
The festival has the aim to show filmproductions from the entire globe that are of fine quality and/or challenging, specifically dealing with gender diversity, thus making the audience more aware of transgenders and their pluriformity.
Which will push their visibility and enhance both recognision as well as acceptance of transgenders.
Apart from that this festival is also a great way for community building. The aim here is to stimulate the empowerment of trangenders of all ages, and any gender whatsoever!

Die Initiative Kultur Raum Rechtsrhein (KRR) feiert in diesem Jahr ihr 10. Ausstellungs-Jubiläum. Anlass genug, um eine ganz besondere Präsentation zu wagen:
Wir haben Künstler aus den letzten neun Ausstellungs-Staffeln eingeladen, sich erneut kreativ mit dem historischen Park, seiner Geschichte, dem Gelände, den Bäumen, den Sittichen und, und, und... auseinander zu setzen. Das Echo war überwältigend, und so können Sie in der malerischen Umgebung des Schlossparks 31 neue Werke entdecken.

In 2009 some 15,000 visitors visited Germany's largest and longest-running lgbt film festival. The colorful and comprehensive selection of films includes everything from feature length feel-good movies to documentaries to politically courageous productions and rarely seen experimental projects - allowing everyone the chance to find something to get excited about.
The festival is Hamburg's second largest film event and screens over 50 programs and 130 films from around the world in five cinemas over six days.
