Het vertellen van een goed verhaal in beelden is mijn startpunt. Dit doe ik voor mezelf (via boeken en tentoonstellingen), maar ook voor anderen, met name grafisch ontwerpers, uitgevers en andere mediabedrijven. Als ik vanaf het begin betrokken wordt bij het ontwerp- of communicatieproces ben ik op mijn best! Meedenken in teamverband is toch het leukste wat er is...

Vanaf 2002 hou ik me ook bezig met het hoger onderwijs en vanaf 2007 volg ik een master 'Teaching in Higher Education op de Vrije Universiteit, waar ik alle aspecten van het hoger onderwijs leer kennen en waar ik in de toekomst ook meer in wil werken en onderzoeken. Ik denk er ook al stiekem aan om te promoveren op dit onderwerp.

Daarnaast ben ik de laatste tijd ook bezig met coachen, met name in het bedrijfsleven. Ik heb hiervoor een certificaat gehaald ('Kunstenaarcoach voor het bedrijfsleven') en heb ook verschillende andere kunstenaars begeleid in hun coachingsproces.

In de afgelopen jaren ben ik werkzaam geweest op verschillende studiedagen en conferenties als moderator en dagvoorzitter, een klus waar ik voor geknipt voor bleek te zijn! Vooral in de domeinen cultuur en educatie natuurlijk.

Broeikas is an initiative of John Patrick Nijkamp, Daniël Nijenhuis and me. Daniël was replaced by Pieter van Scherpenberg in 2004.

Broeikas organises 6 lectures per year on the applied arts (architecture, graphic design, fashion, product design, etc.) Past guests include MVRDV, Ineke Hans, G+N, Harmen Liemburg, Richard NIessen, Maureen Mooren en Daniël van der Velden, EGBG, KCAP, ZUS, and others.

My own business. My main focus is telling my own stories in documentary photography, which is shown in books and exhibitions. I also use these skills in assignments, where I'm specialized in developing creative solutions for the graphic industry and B2B so they can have a high quality exposure. I'm also active as a coach for small to medium sized companies to improve their creative climate and stimulate the innovative spirit within the company.
