I believe in evolution, change and improvement.
Look around you - do you see the enormous opportunity to make people's lives better? Improve our planet? Well, I do. And I am hopeful!
What about you? If you look at organizations (what about your own??), lot's of work can be done, don't you think? There is huge potential for improving the quality of services, products and people's interactions. Reducing cost, creating speed and flow, lowering environmental impact, making the work environment people-friendly and fun. Let's go do it!
The secret to improvement, I think, is in the magic interdependence of people, technology and process. I try to master change from all three angles, but process is currently my startingpoint.
My focus for helping organizations to change and improve is through process-interventions. My toolbox comes from a variety of process-schools, that I collectively label "Business Process Management". Standing on the shoulds of giants, it includes techniques from BPR, Six Sigma, Lean, agile practices, but also psychology and change practices. And, with a solid background in IT, I also bring experience in various technologies to support improvements and help innovate processes, ranging from web technologies, BPM-suites and business rules engines to service oriented architecture principles and integration technology.
A bit on myself: I work with clients achieving sustainable improvements through process (supported by IT & change interventions). In addition I lead a team of 35 great BPM & BRM specialists @ Capgemini. I blog about BPM (see links) and also work as trainer/lecturer in the area of BPM & process-improvement. Last but not least I love personal growth and attempt to coach other people.
