Senior Architect in information management, focus on (Enterprise) Data Management and it's place in an Enterprise Architecture. To be honest-I am a bit of a freak when it comes to this field of expertise. I love the dynamic thats going on at the moment, many interesting developments, discussions, trends. It just proves that there is a huge need for an Intelligent Enterprise that is capable of (re)-using its greatest treasure in an efficient and effective manner..information.
I am not a 'white paper' architect..put your money where your mouth is, is my motto. I like to see architectures 'live' in enterprises, not just write about it. In most organisations my role extends architecture often. I need to be a missionary (selling the value of an information architecture), a project manager (getting it done) and a specialist (educating hardware peeps, data architects, data logistics peeps etc.). But thats the beauty of the trade...

I left Albert Heijn when the first increment went live.
A lot of my best practices can still be traced back to Pallas. A hugely unque informational environment in the retail and one of the most succesfull implementation of an Enterprise Data Warehouse that I know of.
